Cameron walked down the hallway, carrying one suitcase and dragging the other on the ground behind him. He stopped in front of room 113 and stared at it for a moment before digging the key out of his pocket and unlocking the door and walking in. Cameron was surprised to find someone else's stuff already laid out, which made him a bit disappointed seeing as how he couldn't choose what side he wanted.
Cameron tossed his bags to his side of the room and smoothed out his baby blue v-neck as he sat down on his new bed, in his new room which was located on the campus of his very first high school. It was slowly setting in on him that this was about to be the worst time of his life. He was sent away just because he had found out he was adopted. He didn't even care about that fact and his parents had sent him away because of it. He was extremely disappointed.
He shook his head, getting rid of the bad thoughts and focusing on what was good. Meeting new people was good. Finally being able to have friends was good. Possibly experiencing a relationship was good and something to look forward to. Getting out of the house for quite a while was good, in fact, it was extremely good.
Cameron finally smiled to himself after figuring out how much good there would be in moving and going to a real school. He fixed his skinny jeans and smoothed out his hair before he started digging through his suitcases, throwing a few things here and there before he finally pulled out the fitted sheet for his bed. Cameron scrunched his nose at it. At home, his mother always made his bed and washed his sheets and put them back on for it and had never showed him how to do any of it.
Cameron looked from the bed to the sheet in his hand and back again before sighing and walking back over to his bed. He hooked the first corner of the sheet to the bed and had the second one hooked on when the first one popped off. He frowned and tried putting the first corner back on when second one popped off. Sighing with frustration he slipped off his shoes and kneeled on the first corner while hooking the second one back on. Once the first two corners were good he stood up on his bed and slowly inched across to the other side of his bed, but when he finally made it over and was about to put the next corner on, the first two popped right off.
Cameron groaned and plopped face first into the bed, lying down and deciding that he really didn't need a sheet on his bed after all. He figured he'd just use one of his blankets and lay on top of that so he didn't have to feel the scratchy top of the mattress underneath him while he slept.
