Welcome to my, Mr. Holmes's, classroom. I hope you will learn something that you will actually remember from me. What you are currently reading will explain the rules, procedures, grading, what you need, and the basic outline of this class. If you follow this to the very word then I might actually like you. Please, try to learn something and make this a useful day.rules.

2.0 TARDINESS. Mr. Holmes will have none of it. You will either be on time or be left outside the locked door and be marked absent. The only exception is if you have a note signed by some sort of staff.
3.0 HAND RAISING. Raise your hand at all times if you wish to speak. Mr. Holmes will not speak to you if your hand is raised and will give you detention if you do it more than three times.
4.0 DIRECTIONS. Follow directions the first time they are given, they will not be repeated. You best write them down when said if you have a bad memory.
5.0 COMPLAINING. You shall never do this, it is wrong and annoying. Everything done by Mr. Holmes is fair, if you think otherwise then you are just lazy and annoying.
6.0 HANDLING OBJECTS. Dear God, do not do it without Mr. Holmes's permission, no exceptions!
7.0 THE DESK. You may never ever go behind Mr. Holmes's desk. Ever. If you do the expect to be dragged away by the ear.
8.0 FOOD. You may only bring food, drink, gum, etc. if you bring some for Mr. Holmes.
9.0 ELECTRONICS. All electronics will be confiscated if seen and will not be released until the end of class. Any begging for it will result in it being held until the end of the day. No body may complain about Mr. Holmes using his in front of you.
10.0 NAME CALLING. Mr. Holmes is the only one allowed to call anyone names. If you are heard calling anybody any foul name then you will have detention with Mr. Holmes for one day, a week if you are calling Mr. Holmes any names
supplies.
1.0[/color] A textbook on science for whatever grade you are in.
2.0 Two college ruled notebooks labeled Science and what hour you are in.
3.0 A pair of clear protective glasses. Bringing a spare is optional.
4.0 A pair of thick, protective gloves. A spare pair is required to keep in the classroom at all times.
5.0 Pens, pencils, markers, sharpies, and colored pencils.
6.0 Glue, siscors, and blank paper.
7.0 A 2.5 inch three ringed binder labeled Science and what hour you are in.
8.0 A folder of any color labeled Science and what hour you are in.
9.0 Two magnifying glasses, one large and one small.
10.0 A calculator of any kind as long as it works.

1.0 SOTM. Scientist of the Month. At the end of every month there will be a series of tests to see who is going to be the scientist of the month. The winner can break the rules for a whole week. There is a different winner for every grade.
2.0 SCIENCE BOWL. This is the competition at the end of the year for graduates only to see who is the best scientist out of the grade.
3.0 MOVIE WEEK. At the beginning of each marking period a vote will be held on which movies will be watched during movie week. Movie week occurs once a marking period.
4.0 OTP. On Track Program. If you keep on getting F's and are in danger of failing the class then you will have the option to take after school lessons or to be tutored until your grade picks up.
